Coming To The Coop Party

As of today, Thursday, October 2nd, right at 50 people have committed to coming to the Coop Party. We expect one or two more will just show up. A lot of others wrote or called to say they wish they could have come. We'll see some of them in Atlanta.

The Coop is ready for us. All I have to do now is set fire to the Eggs and start cooking Butts on Friday for serving Saturday.

My international workforce will arrive today to perform their lawnscaping magic while I take care of other aspects of Ranch Grooming.

We did good by reserving five hotel rooms. Four were taken at the last minute. Hotel rooms are in big demand right now. If you plan on laying over after a day of enjoyment, bring a blanket and pillow for the floor. If you REALLY partied hard you probably won't notice the difference.

We're still open for any Friday afternoon visitors who want to drop off food or gear, or just to have a cold one (or three). We're pretty casual about people stopping by. Might be fun. Or it might turn into work if we still have stuff to do...

We had one drop out for unexpected business reasons but he was bringing four others, including a new born. Maybe next time.

Meanwhile, Baby Ray called to add two more to the list. And I almost forgot to add Brett Favre since he didn't send in an RSVP. I put him down anyway. He's free this weekend.
